Repair tips, deals & the occasional teardown
Zero tech spam. One click to vanish.
The celltech Foundation exists to bridge the digital divide. Through device donations, digital literacy programmes, and community repair events, we're working to make sure nobody is left behind.
Why it matters
In 2026, millions of people in the UK still lack access to a working digital device or the skills to use one. That means they can't apply for jobs online, access NHS services digitally, help their children with homework, or stay connected with family.
Meanwhile, drawers across the country hold millions of unused devices — old phones, forgotten tablets, retired laptops — perfectly capable of changing someone's life with a basic refurbishment.
The celltech Foundation connects these two realities. We take devices that would otherwise gather dust and put them in the hands of people who need them.

Our programmes
Working devices for those who need them
We refurbish donated and trade-in devices to a high standard and distribute them to families, schools, and community organisations who need them. Every device is wiped, repaired, and set up ready to use.
Skills that open doors
Free workshops teaching essential digital skills — from email and video calls to online banking and staying safe online. Focused on older adults and those who've been left behind by the digital shift.
The repair technicians of tomorrow
Hands-on workshops for young people aged 14-18, introducing basic electronics repair as a practical skill and potential career path. We believe repair is a craft worth passing on.
Free repairs for those who need them
Regular events where we offer free basic repairs to vulnerable residents — elderly, low-income families, refugees. A cracked screen or dead battery shouldn't mean digital exclusion.
Every device donated to the Foundation is refurbished to a high standard — not just wiped and handed over.
We never sell Foundation devices. They are always donated to verified recipients.
All personal data is securely erased following GDPR-compliant processes.
We prioritise families with school-age children, elderly residents, and refugees.
We partner with local schools and community organisations for workshops — never commercial venues.
